Are you loading your body with nutrition or just calories?
I thought I'd share a glimpse into my food for the day. I mostly follow the 'raw til 4' concept by basically eating mostly raw all day then either cooked, raw or mixed for dinner.
A normal start to the day is a big glass of water and a green smoothie loaded with fruits and greens.
For the rest of the day here is a sample: 🌿 Fruit salad 🌿 Raw salad, pepitas, with not-mayo 🌿 Vege sticks
🌿 Raspberry chia pudding 🌿 Activated almonds
Nothing complicated! A bit of prepping but I usually do a couple of days at a time. Sometimes I'll add a homemade vege pattie to my salad at lunch which I make in bulk and freeze. Sometimes I'll have avocado toast instead. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Throughout the day I'll have 2-3 litres of water, green or herbal tea and occasionally a soy latte. Dinner will be something quick, and another load of vegetables, followed by a piece (or three lol) of my chocolate.
When you are hungry your body is craving nutrition, not calories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Following a plant based lifestyle means there is no counting of anything! Simply eat fruit, vegetables and small amounts of nuts and seeds. Throw in some avocado for fats.
Keep it simple. Keep it delicious. Prep your snacks so you can reach for ready to go, healthy options. 🙋 What do you struggle most with?
