Soft & Chewy Sesame Cookies

These taste like a cookie version of Sesame Snaps!

Completely gluten free, vegan and with no refined sugar, these cookies are a great little treat to enjoy.


  • 1/2 cup tahini*

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1 1/2 cups ground almonds

  • 3/4 cup tapioca flour

  • 1 tbs sesame seeds

  • Sprinkle of salt


  1. Preheat oven to 170°C.

  2. Whisk together the tahini and maple syrup.

  3. Stir through ground almonds and tapioca flour until well combined.

  4. Roll into balls and flatten with the back of a fork.

  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and salt.

  6. Press in the opposite direction with back of fork again.

  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until just golden underneath.

  8. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

  9. Store in an air tight container.

* I used unhulled tahini, but I'm sure hulled will work as well.
